Lisa’s path has always been rooted in curiosity about the body, human behavior and outside forces that influence how we interface with the world. Prior to her creating Progression Flow Lab, Lisa dedicated 15 years to scientific research, earning a PhD in Biological Sciences. During her scientific career, she developed a deep reverence for the intelligence of the human body—how it heals, adapts, stores experiences and responds to it’s environment. She began to realize that not everything meaningful can be measured or quantified, but must be experienced and felt. That realization drew her to yoga, somatic breathwork, and nervous system-based practices.
Lisa has always felt deeply connected to others, intuitively sensing what they need to feel supported and at ease. What once felt like a sensitivity, has become her foundation. The ability to hold space for others that feels safe, warm, and supportive. For years, she noticed how naturally people gravitated toward her—sharing their stories, their experiences, and the things that shaped them, but never really understood why. Through her 200hr RYS yoga teacher training and somatic breathwork facilitator training she discovered that this is a form of embodied knowing: a way of perceiving through intuition, sensation and presence. This intuitive way of relating is woven through everything she does, complementing the scientific, athletic, and yoga-centric lenses she brings to healing and regulation.
